The Heavy Launcher, or hl, is my fav class, they are strong and more than capable of being pve, and pvp, beasts. Unlike the Dual Gunner, or dg, these gun toting toons favor damage(dmg) and range over speed and critical hits, or crits. With defense(def) still bugged this advantage makes little difference for now but have the second highest def in the game, coupled with the highest dmg and a tie for the longest range those are some of the pros but the cons are mostly in the bugs, invincibility(inv) is bugged along with 3 of their skills, other than the bugs mentioned before, which makes them THE most bugged class in the game =(.

Despite the disadvantages this class is still quite good, capable of freeze, immobilization and silence, gaining buffs for range and attack(atk) that allow them to crush mobs before they even take a single hit. With it bugged it makes no difference for now but they gain the MOST inv time from skills of all the classes, as for builds well really its much like a dg...

BUILD: go with the first skill tree, the one on the left that begins with triple shot, and make sure u put a lvl on polar pulsator, grab the atk buff and love it, lasting for 3 mins and increasing skill as well as normal atk dmg this is one of the most handy buffs around, put everything u can into ur first skill tree and use the extra points to lvl ur atk buff, im not sure of the skill lvl caps for them just yet but u want to push the first tree and the atk buff all the way to that limit as this will set u firmly in ur class, amazing dmg =). anything left after capping these skills should first be put into polar pulsator then backstep shot, if u still have skill points then add it to ur dmg, hp, def, then mp... yes in that order xD.

GEARS: grab up high atk gears, if ur geared right then in the 2x(lvl 20-29) you will be capable of 800-1000 dmg in a single skill execution, without a critical hit =). These toons have crazy dmg but also decent hp, if u use ur range and try to keep enemies back ull have no trouble at all, most mobs of 3 will die in just a few skill executions so if u hit them with a status affliction or 2 you can be at closer range and still have little to no dmg =).

TACTICS: its pretty easy really, keep them from getting any closer than 105 if u can but just hit em hard and fast and they wont have time to do much even if they are close =D. For pvp its a bit more difficult... with the bugs u cant use ur inv as an opener giving you skill execution time =/ u should go for polar pulsator or storm caller, disable them and then unleash hell, let ur high dmg take its toll, on lower hp classes they can be torn apart very fast under that kind of dmg... u know when their hp is under 2k and ur hitting them for 600-800 or more xD if u get hit with the disabling skills first and they r the right class and know what they are doin u wont have much of a chance but if you get an opening capatalize, Storm Caller, Triple Shot, Polar Pulsator, Rail Shot, Power Shot, Bazooka... trust me by the time u unleash that combo or even half of it they wont be too happy xD.

BUGS: defense is bugged for all toons right now =(, hls also have a list of bugged skills, this is what they are....

Artillery Shot: posted range is 200 but the skill is useless at more than 180, it will fire, take ur mp and cooldown(cd) but will not aggro or dmg any mobs targeted =(
Activate Energy Scope: works in reverse of whats posted, it adds 5 range for 180 seconds, the range increases as it lvls =)
Airstrike: invincibility is broken so while the skill casts u will still get hit and take dmg =(
Laser Pointer: same as Airstrike.
Quick Fire: just read the skill... a lvl 25 skill that hits for 82 dmg? uh... what? yeah its a bug and they plan to fix it =P
